In the programme, Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha delightedly told the public that Thailand was ranked the happiest nation across the globe. Thailand was ranked 33 out of 156 countries in the SDSN's 2016 world happiness ranking, which ranked Denmark the happiest country, followed by Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Finland. But certainly Thailand should not be ranked the happiest country particularly when inequality is taken into account. Moreover, they will not be convinced that they live in the happiest country where farmers are ready to go digital to boost their income.
